The Medical Information Carrier System (MICS):
A unique medical Information system that provides critical life saving information in the event of an emergency.
Presently, there are 800,000 Systems being utilized worldwide. Some of the venues include: National SAFE KIDS, Brandon's Champions, Greater Ohio Bicycle Adventure, Ride Rockies, Sports Car Club of America, Mine Safety Appliance and many federal, state and local agencies.
The Medical Information Carrier System (MICS), introduced in the fall of 1998 by Medical Emergercy Data Systems, Inc., was initially created for bike riders and others who use protective head gear, to provide critical life saving information in the event of an emergency. The system has evolved into many different avenues of application.

What is MICS?
The helmet System is composed of several components:
Small circular external reflective decal that contains the "star of life" (EMS symbol) and the letter "i", the universal symbol for information. This decal is located universally on the left rear of all helmets to aid EMS providers. The decal functions as an identifier for EMS.

Neon yellow, heavy-duty vinyl envelope, affixed with an acrylic water and temperature resistant tape. Maintains functionality at environmental extremes.

This envelope carries the Medical Data/ID form. The material is waterproof and tear-resistant, yet the data is printed simply with a pencil. This allows for data changes to be completed quickly and easily.
